i'm in no good mood today!!

Popov just miss 100m final by just .02 sec to Ian Thorpe.. i was so stunned last night and didnt had the heart to cry..

but, reading the news from the internet.. looking at his pictue.. just break my heart.. he is such a legend.. perharps age has wear him out.. he's going into 33.. i've never heard a swimmer that old... still held the world title last year in Barcelona..

since started into international career in 1990, nobody ever beat him in 100m in any event... no one until 1998, when Hoogie swam .35 sec faster than Popov, but still the world record survive until Syndey 00'..

the injury with his stupid frend and a watermelon seller has bring him down at that time.. he was stabbed in the abdomen with a knife during a altercation with three Moscow street vendors. The knife sliced his artery, grazed one of his kidneys and damaged the pleura, the membrane that encases the lungs. He had emergency surgery and spent three months in rehabilitation.

He went on to the 1997 European Championships and defended his 50m and 100m freestyle titles. "My soul wasn't damaged, my brain wasn't damaged, only my body." but, it put off his performance a little bit still bounce back winning the World title and Europe title after Sydney defeat every year until now..


last night, it shows that he only got his legend behind him right now... double in Barcelona and Atlanta, bronze and silver in Sydney.. hope he'll get another gold for 50m.. he still hold the world and olympic record in that event...


and me, still nursing my broken heart... and tonight i'm cheering hoogie.. thorpe not gonna have a chance.. as much as i hate US and the South Africa guy to win any medal with their arrogant behaviour, it was nothing compare to see an Aussie loose coz if they win, they will talk about it repeatedly until i might throw out anything inside my stomach...

dont hate me Australian.. i'm just a sick girl who just loss her legend in his event and tired of watching only Australian in Olympics.. there 100 more country in Olympics for sake..
