as my frend Bariah had pointed out, i had no aussie spirit.. i'm agree with her point that when u are in Aussie, you support Aussie...

i dont have problem supporting aussie even when i'm in Malaysia especially during 98' Commenwealth Games as Thorpe is discovered as the new-wonder boy for swimming in Kuala Lumpur, and i started my love affair with the reader's Digest when Thorpe appear on the cover with a pic of him wearing only a trunk (yummy, at that time).. not when the rumour he is GAY spreading around last year..

even one of my fren think i'm turning to an aussie more and more every week.. well, i dont blame her for saying that coz she always find me shouting and cheering for Collingwood.. not too much nowadays coz the Magpies are well not on winning form.. and how weird for the footy fans to find 3 girls wearing hijab = tudung in the MCG cheering for the bombers and the Saints.. judge by the way, they kept staring at us.. i bet they never seen a muslim girl watch a footy game before.. i nearly lost my voice that night, coz the Saints just edge the Lions by one points.. hehe.. well, when u're in Melbourne, any Melbourne team is my team if not collingwood..

back to olympics, it not just so nauseating, hearing the same news been repeatedly to death.. never have i seen such biased commentating by a TV station.. Eddie Maguire came close with an obvious bias towards the team of which he is a president..mayeb it got to do with an Aussie gene in their DNA.. there's nothing wrong about being patriotic, supportign your country, athlete, family and etc..

i thought by only showing events that got only Aussie in it, it get much worse.. the commnetator only rattled about Aussie participant and their enemy, US.. what time he/she been doing though he/she is not in medal contentions, clearly neglecting other athlete achievement.. is that called good sportmanship?

watching the other event that havent got Ian thorpe in it (he's a truly world champ, credit for him), you would have think that Aussie had won gold.. in reality it was either silver/bronze or no medal at all.. has channel seven got a problem with showing a proper medal ceremony that doesnt have an aussie on top of the dais? or they just got too much sponsor that the have show they adds for a long2 time.. last night, they doesnt even show the medal ceremony for the Japanese double champion who even broke the Olympic record and beating the arrogant US boy..

well, who am i to get so fussed up about all this olympic thing.. like it gonna help me answer my exams question with only one-eye open (that's what it sound if you translated straight from Malays)...just enjoy it as much as the coverage we can get from the free-tv...

speaking of free-tv, it's bad enough to have only one Saturday EPL game per week even though there's Arsenal vs MU at Sunday.. that's last season story... guess how many games you can get this season? as usual, no games from the best league in the world (Serie A and La Liga)... even, the most popular league in the world, EPL is a no-show on SBS this year..

by proving that Australia is so advanced and rich country, FOX (cable tv) has attempts to monopolis the coverage of EPL by, pricing SBS out of the premiership right to screen the once-a-week higlights package. even no highlights!!! good GOD! Australia is like what Bariah has mentioned, a very self-centred country who just show their own-kind of sport and kindly left out one of the biggest sport in the world..

well, if that is FOX attempts to secure a new customers, they surely got mine for next year!!
