Lestat de Lioncourt
Friday, September 17, 2004

one thing i sure learn from last night : never ever start reading the vampire chronicles on school/night.. if not, u'll find yourself still reading the books while the clock is ticking away and by the time you realise.. it's already 4 in the morning!!!! thank goodness PCL started at 12.30 p.m.

do i believe vampire? i dont think so! but, it is really interesting to read about such creature in this book expecially Lestat. if u have a read at the first chronicles Interview with the Vampire, i'm sure as hell that you'll hate the Vampire Lestat by just reading the first few chapter.. he is the damnest creature ever lived.. but, that's Louis side of the story.. if you continue reading the chronicles, i just fell in love with Lestat..

as mention in the book, Lestat de Lioncourt, born into the Dark world by vampire Magnus at the 20 years old 2 centuries ago.. 6ft tall, blond hair and beautiful blue eyes.. remember in Interview with vampire, it's was Tom Cruise who potrays as Lestat.. haha.. i dont he's that tall and have fascinating blue eyes.. Brad Pitt is more fit for the role, but, he doesnt have that cynical and arrogant smile that's always linger at the corner of Lestat mouth..

though how many times, it mentioned that Lestat has a shoulder length blond hair.. all i can imagine is Stuart Townsend version of Lestat.. OMG... he is so sexy and perfect for the role.. but, as always the movie doesnt do any justice for the book.. Queen of the Damned : the movie version is totally different from the book.. all the character doesnt look as it been described in the book , let alone the storyline..

imagine Antonio Banderas being potrayed as the 17-year old then 500 years old vampire Armand (mind you, vampire dont aged).. then, Aaliyah as the beatiful-white-innocent Queen Akasha.. there's so many contrast between the two story.. even when u read the book after watching the movie, you'll wonder if it the same book you just read though the only thing that same is the name of the character..

but, nonetheless... i just fell in love with Lestat.. he got the biggest ego any creature in the world could ever possesed, selfish and rebellious.. he think he is a God among his kind.. he created Claudia, the vampire child just to make sure Louis doesnt leave him .. but Claudia in the end stuck a knife through his heart and dump him in the swamp.. well, you cant kill Vampire Lestat.. even he could not kill himself.. he did try by lying in the Gobi desert 2 days, facing the sun.. hoping that he would turn into ash.. but, all he got just a tanned skin.. and what about when he turn against his kind, defy all the rule by becoming a ROCK STAR.. sing a song with a lyrics that contain all the secret about his kind.. and the latest one, swap with a sorcerer in order to become a human again.. of course, he miss his beautiful body and his supernatural power.. the power that made him so powerful among the other vampire..

well, that's vampire Lestat for you.. just read the book .. REMINDER : during holidays only and fell in love with him..

just wish that there's a version of Lestat de Lioncourt (Stuart Townsend looks) as a mortal and charm me with his cynic smile and beautiful blue-eyes..

and me, trying to charm myself to love reading Guyton as much as i was charmed by the-next-Guyton (Lochie)..

well, something never change..
