SAHARA
Saturday, April 16, 2005

imaging running around the desert, with no water supply with a whole army running after you..

the only thing that you've got is Penelope Cruz, a so-called doctor who seems making progress in her accent..

the movie is just like a fire sale at the action movie discount outlet.. the plot is non-sense though the movie is adapted from a great-novel.. hmm.. Lesson 1: a book should be left as a book .. just see it as the worser version of National Treasure.. at least Nicholas Cage got a cute but humourous side-kick (not DIane Kruger); Riley

the action was worth the money, well, i dont have to pay anything for that actually.. and the sight of over-tanned Matthew McConaughey is always a plesure.. this a role that fits his carefree, sexy, Southern-boy-scoundrel insouciance..

sexy as he is.. i still his old work as the i-dont-care-what-other-people-says lawyer in "A Time to Kill" and very charming manly guy in "How to loose a guy in 10 days"..

but as far as Sahara goes, as it follows in the footsteps of giants. It’s a little bit of Indiana Jones and a little bit of James Bond, but never equals either of those titans. The movie recognizes this and sets out to entertain, pure and simple.

and that;s how i spend my friday night!
