Legend Maldini may quit
Monday, September 05, 2005

AC Milan captain Paolo Maldini has admitted he could be forced to retire because of injury before the end of this season. "I thought the long summer holidays would have helped me," he said. "But instead when I started to train I felt worse than before."

"I considered retiring last year and I still have the same thought in this difficult time," Maldini, who has enjoyed a magnificent 20-year career, told the club's official website.

"My idea is to retire when I am at the top and not after spending a season on the bench."

is the END could be that near?

i always thought, when it's the time for him to go.. i'm gonna accept it coz players come and go

but, after reading the news... i felt very2 horrible.. feel like there's a crushing, tightness pain at my chest.. and the feeling of crying.. and dont want to think what would happen to me when THE DAY finally come

the thing is; Maldini is not just like another player... he is a professional who has steadfastly reused to leave the only club he ever played for no matter how lucrative the carrot on offer from another team was. (That’s why he never came in the list of most expensive players) and the most important fact of all

please2... keep playing until i can come to San Siro and watch you play [me sounds very selfish.. but watever].. that will be the perfect day of my life and i wont ask more for anything!!!
