watch Syriana during weekend with my sister... i would say that it is one hell of a movie.. the movie where my mind cant wander around.. If I was to make a list of the 10 best films of the year [even though we're still in Jan] or even the decade so far, Syriana would be there.

The movie's plot is so complex we're not really supposed to follow it, we're supposed to be surrounded by it. I couldn't explain the story, but I never felt lost in it. I understood who, what, when, where and why, but not how they connected. That was how I wanted to relate to it. It created sympathy for individual characters in their specific situations without dictating what I was supposed to think about the big picture.

of course, a good movie doesnt finish ith a happy ending.. the same rules apply here.. i was biting my nails, hoping that Prince Nasir [played by the dashing-yet-still-sexy-with-a-lovely-eyes ALexander Siddiq] would get out of the car just in time ... but, then, i'm not the scriptwriter...

then, last night, we watched Infernal Affairs... i'm so smitten by Tony Leung despite ANdy Lau being my fav Hong Kong actor... i was hoping that he'll come out of the story alive... but, then, i forget the RULE... there's no happy ending and good guys never win...


how it goes? i have to watch Tony Leung's head blown into pieces and there's nothign remain of Prince Nasir..

having said that; if you got the time... watched Syriana and see how the world is totally corruoted and the sad truth is that we live in it..
