after watching Micheal Owen fall ackwardly in the 1st minute ; i said to myself [football made you do crazy things e.g. staying up all night; shouting to the tv].. "he's done his cruciate; probably anterior"... it turns out that i was right!

having seen at least 4 guys busted their knee live on tv; 1 from the seat of MCG [which are a bit far away to see real live action].. couldn't get it wrong; this time.. thanks to the advance technology that manage to repeat the incident over and again in slow mo; but, i couldn't help but wince everytime i see that fall..

feel sorry for the chap; it is not only that his world cup is over, he will probably miss out the opening season of EPL, and one would wonder if he will ever get back to the form that made him famous back in 98' when he dart through the Argentinian defences at the mere age of 18 to score that wonderful solo goal..
