i did not watch the match.. my heart rate is too fast and too much for my poor brain to handle..so, i didnt know if the red card or the penalty is justifiable..

from what i read, the red-card is kinda 50-50, but, with Materazzi, it jut time-ticking for him to be send off..

even, if the penalty is un-justifiable [Grosso was dribbling in from the left, Neill foolishly comitted himself to the tackle and the Italian committed himself to falling over in as extravagant a fashion as possible] .. australia should have scored while playing against 10 men for 40 minutes.. after watching all australia past 3 games; you would have bet Australia will score it the matter of minutes..

or perhaps, they need the opposition to score first, then the battle will begin..

to my aussie bandwagoners - It's all part of the big learning curve in international football.
