BABY!!!!
after one week of looking at babies and kids, i know for a fact that i didn't hate them.. truthfully, i can stand them, no awkwardness, and certainly no trouble holding one.. .. wow, having 5 younger siblings do come in handy especially having to be a part-time-unpaid baby-sitter for the youngest one
how cute is all the babies! i want one! not now obviously.. a cute baby boy, with dark blond hair and blue eyes and baby girl with black hair, and warm brown eyes... ermm.. gotta stop dreaming!
bearing in mind for myself to not get too excited, since, i've been to the paediatrics ward for only 5 days..
for the first time in 18 months, my rotation is at a hospital that doesnt have a word Monash in its name.. nevermind that i have to take a bus, a train and a bus/walking to get there.. or going out when the sun hasn't rise yet.. something for a change
i got a registrar who explain pretty much everything about the patient and giving out tutes to us students who clearly doesnt know much about paediatrics; even though he's having his exam in 2 weeks... a consultant who asnwers his own questions most of the time, another consultant who invites us to his own private practice + got to see he induces an absence seizure in one kid.. how cool is that!
got 4 group mates who some i can partially stand.. yesterday, there is only me and Claire in the ward.. we have clinics and index case tute ... imagine; only 2 people for a tute.. dont know what to say to the consultant..
excited to go back there next monday!
