i've just been told today, that i might have tobe at the hospital for my mentor week on hari raya!!
it happen because i decided to do medicine 4 years ago in Australia and it in the future, as a doctor that was something gonna happen to all of us. and since, it is only a religious reason not a medical reason [perhaps i should break my leg or gone mental], i'm not entitle to take one day off from the 5 days requirement to pass the semester.. ; and the doctor possibly have organised a major thing for this one special medical student on that particular Monday, so that i cannnot afford to miss out coz it's gonna be the end of my medical study!
and all of that coming from a phone call from Dora "quoting" from a certain Prof that someone cited to me as a douchebah [whatever that mean].. i got a lot of words for him. probbaly better to keep it to myself..
i dont think they, i mean HIM, really undertsand the significance of hari raya.. try telling the Christian students that they have to go the hospital on Christmas ... i bet there will be an uproar if faculty manage to pull that one .... or even the Jewish student who the faculty always manage to let them take a day off for some of their religious celebrations.. it's bad enough that i have to celebrate it without my family... now, i have to spend it by looking at women's v-jay-jay , and hearing them talks about period, contraception bla..bla..
now, i'm hoping that fasting will start this Sunday and it's gonna go on for only 29 days .. so, that Raya will fall on Sunday.. at the mean time, will try to talk to Dr. Tarrant about it when he came back from his holiday, i heard that he is quite a nice guy and if he's ok with it... *&% the faculty or specifically Prof ......
