a long weekend, considering Monday is a public holiday and i've taken a friday off coz my heart [the pump] is not feeling up to it..

however, i drag myself out of bed in a very cold Melbourne morning to attend mentor training session.. yes, i've applied to become a MENTOR for new international students..it's only because couple of new female Malay med students would like to meet a senior student [mentor] who also doing med course...

i guess it's something that i can gave back to the uni after all these years... coz to think about it, when i first came to Australia, i've got Wayne who organized everything from accomodation, orientation to Melbourne life [e.g. public transport, food].. and we've got thee 3 months of "introdcution course to medicine" which for me basically, having us settling down and familiarise with the enviroment before starting the real deal.. i've never really experience the difficulty of most of the international students have to face when to arrive here by themselves.. and still got Wayne as a person to turn to if encounter any difficulty..

having said that, the culture shock is pretty much the same as anyone else.. and still experience it even after nearly 5 years ..

now, i'm praying that those girls are not one of 'them'
