quite a boring day, today..

but, i saw a very interesting patient.. the kind that will grab anyone attention; when the patient passes by... well, i doubt it if the patient can walk 500m without giving himself a respiratory arrest.. he is markedly OBESE.. probably need a new word for him coz OBESE is categorized for patient with BMI > 30..

his BMI? 65.8 charted in the notes... but, when i calculate the weight and height; it is actually 78.1 [256kg].. which sounds really2 impossible.. but, he is THAT big .. Carolyn jokingly likened him with a walrus; and Ben with his 'Jabba the Hut' joke... i know it sounds cruel & not funny for the patient; but, just couldnt stop wondering how on earth a person would let himself be that big..

his past medical history just go on like forever, and he actually came in post-lap banding surgery.. coz with the rate he is going, there is no way he gonna live past 50..

and i'm the lucky person who have to put a catheter; which i did successfully and smoothfully.. which is good, cosidering that we have to lie him down a bit, coz his flabby tummy is kinda in the way.. with his size, lying down is not a good position to breathe..

lesson for the day: nothing is impossible; even to reach 200kg
