Tuesday: post-holiday + temp + throbbing headache + cranky resident ; did not bode very well for my post-holiday hangover..
but, today! after nearly 3 weeks of playing " u smile - i smile " with a person only known to me as the neurosurg resident; we finally managed to be civilized and introduced ourselves.. we kinda met before this when i attended to one of post-ICU patient under his care up on the ward.. exchange word about the patient's progress..
well, today, he did the introduction after i "un-purposely" wander off to check the patient file.. he turn to me with his usually bright smile "I'm sorry that i havent introduced myself .......".. i feel myself spark for a moment especially when he said "you're not just a medical student... THE medical student".. *blushing*. *blushing*..hehehe.. and these very2-nosy nurse interupted our conversation to continue her ranting about how she knows more than Stuart [the consultant]!!
i know i'm reading too much into this, but, it's been a while since i had that kind of 'sparky' moment.. everytime his team came round at the ICU [which is not that often!], i found myself stealing a glance at him and got caught up..he just resemble a close-friend of mine if the personality wise.. to be exact, the Chinese version of Safwan.. yes, my dear, he looks just like you.. minus that freely glowing smile..
haha.. the good ol' days of having a crush on someone .. haha
to bad that tomorrow is my last day at MMC.. i'm off to Box Hill next week, while the residents also changing to a new rotation.. he might be sent off to a different hospital, definately not Box Hill.. tskk..tskk
