Life in Malaysia so far

• driving 40k every morning in Malaysia's congested traffic is no fun... i miss my Ventura's bus driver..


• PPUM Paediatrics unit is equivalent to Royal Chidren's hospital patient's population... cant believe how sick most of the kids is


• attached to Paeds Gastro unit... consist of 2 interns, and 4 registrars [jr + sr]... talk about lacking of doctors in the hospital... in Melbourne, a unit would be consider lucky to have more than 2 doctors in one rotation.. 5? 6? dream on!!


• saw couple of procedures been done in kids.. LP on day 4 of life.. looks totally painful.. then, No tornique for venu-puntures or line insertion --> blind procedure..


• havent meet any medical students as they are on their holidays.. havent yet to wear a lab coat

other than that, manage to catch up with my close friends... except for one
